Where are you located?
We are in beautiful downtown Tavares in Wooton Park, next to Lake Dora. Our train platform is located across the street from our gift shop and ticket office at 305 E. Main Street.
When is your gift shop and ticket office open?
We are open Daily 10 am to 4 pm.
When do you run?
Our schedule varies due to special events. See the Tickets page of our website for monthly days and times available.
How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets may be purchased online, over the phone, or in person at our ticket office.
Do we need to purchase tickets in advance?
We highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance as our tickets are sold on a “first come, first serve” basis and do sell out.
How do I pick up my tickets?
Tickets will be available for pick up on the day of your trip inside the gift shop.
Can I reserve tickets and pay later?
Tickets are sold on a “first come, first serve” basis. We do not reserve tickets.
Who can ride in the cupola of the caboose?
At the present time, only passengers over the age of 13 may ride in the cupola. Seats subject to ashes from locomotive due to height. You must be able to climb a ladder to reach the seating area. Click here to view the ladder.
How many can ride in the cupola of the caboose?
Seating is limited to 8 passengers in the cupola.
Are seats assigned?
No. Seats are on a “first come, first serve” basis. We highly recommend for large parties to arrive forty-five minutes prior to departure.
Do you offer group rates?
Yes, parties of 10 or more qualify for the group rate. Group tickets must be purchased in advance under one name. Call for prices. However, rates not available for special events.
Do you host birthday parties?
At the present time, we do not. The only offering is the group rate.
Can we rent a car for a private party?
The caboose is the only car available for private parties. Parties are limited to 20 passengers. Call the ticket office for more information and booking.
Is there food on board?
We do have concessions available on board consisting of beer, chips, candy, popcorn, water, and sodas.
Can we bring my own food on board?
You are welcome to bring your own food. Coolers may not be larger than a small lunch box, nor take up a seat. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.
Can we bring a small dog?
Yes, we are a pet-friendly operation. Dogs may not be large enough to take up a seat. Dogs must be leashed and well-trained to be around people and loud noises.
Are there restrooms on board?
Yes, we do have a restroom on board the train.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Not at the present time.
